We designed Golden Age specifically to taste fantastic when prepared as an espresso. As a shot, it's sweet and syrupy, with just enough brightness to make you want to keep coming back for more. It is rich in flavor, deep in sweetness, and with bright notes that make it caramelly but fruity at the same time.
This coffee is also fantastic in milk, punching through with sweet notes of milk chocolate and caramel. For this coffee, we source sugar-dense coffees, usually from Latin America, and develop them just enough in the roaster to make sure that we are unlocking all of the sweetness that they have to offer. Then we finish off the blend with a rich deep fruity coffee, this year from Abana Coffee Estates, to make sure it's sweet to stand on it's own as a drinkable coffee for your drip or pour over.
You'll find us pulling this as our main espresso in our cafes all day, everyday. So come try a cup that's been dialed in from our excellent baristas as well.
This coffee is grown at 1600-2000m and is a fully washed coffee. As we tasted this coffee we felt it had a wonderful malic apple acidity, some deep flavor of roasted hazelnuts and caramel. And the body was wonderfully smooth. This is a perfect early morning coffee, every day drinker.
