Flavor Notes - Purple Grape, Cherry, Green Apple, Marzipan
Back for the third year, we're as excited as ever to share some amazing coffees from the Long Miles Coffee Project with you! This year, we got three lots, all from the same hill, just different processes. This coffee is an experimental lot, grown on Gaharo Hill and processed at the Bukeye Washing Station. This coffee is processed in a similar fashion to their traditional washed coffees, but here they added a specific strain of yeast during the fermentation process of the coffee. The intention here was to try and recreate some of the flavours of a natural coffee, with the clarity of a washed. The result is a coffee with an amazing round and velvety mouthfeel, and bold fruit flavours or purple grape, cherry and green apple, with some sweet and complex marzipan notes.
