Our strong relationship with our friends at Abana Coffee Estates has allowed us the privilege of being able to carry this amazing coffee for 4 years and running. This coffee is a staff and regular favorite, driving the adventurous side of our coffee line-up.

Abana Translates to “our fathers” (Arabic), and it’s the producer’s way of paying homage to the deep roots, rich heritage and origins of wild arabica coffee that traces to the heart of Ethiopia. The name Anderacha comes from the river that borders the estate and is the primary source of life and nutrients for their community and ecosystem.

The Anderacha lots were uniquely processed and utilized cherry fermentation prior to processing which contributes to sweetness, complexity, a body with depth and incredible balance. Shade and rainforest grown at an altitude of between 1,930 to 2,200 meters, this coffee has a long growing season that allows the coffee cherries to ripen at a pace that encourages fruity flavors and playful, complex acidity that is well represented through many brewing methods. We are reminded of ripe peaches, gentle floral notes, and juicy nectarines when our team enjoys this coffee.
